A Matter of Balance emphasizes practical strategies to reduce fear of falling and increase activity levels. Participants learn to view falls and fear of falling as controllable, set realistic goals to increase activity, change their environment to reduce fall risk factors, and exercise to increase strength and balance.

The Living Well Refresher Training is for Leaders of SMRC self-management programs. This training is designed as a skill building session, and/or for those who have not facilitated a workshop within the time required to maintain active status. The refresher training reviews the important processes in the programs (brainstorming, feedback, making an action plan, paraphrasing, etc.).
